The pastoral areas are not equipped with modern hospitals and proper medicine.  Patients may need to take a 15-20 hour journey, which is taxing enough even for healthy people, to get appropriate medical help in big cities.

Building a hospital requires extensive financial support, sophisticated personnel management familiar with the latest medical procedures, public infrastructure, and other complex factors which are beyond our scope to deal with at this time. We will do more in-depth research on this subject sometime in the future when we have become a more well-established organization.  For now, we will focus on what is readily attainable:  the training of Tibetan medics, the planting of Tibetan herbs and the building of local clinics, as we endeavor to make medical treatment as affordable and accessible to every local resident.  We plan to train 6 Tibetan medics and build 3 clinics, which should cost about 225,000RMB.
